I have been revisiting these topics as a launch to trigonometry, and I am once again amazed. Two years ago, in London, I stayed in a hotel designed around Fibonacci Numbers and the Golden Ratio. The reception staff did not quite understand the math (though Francesca and Antonio were charming “hosts”), so, upon my return, I sent them a lesson. Here is what they did with it!

And here is a beautiful short film by Cristóbal Vila, exploring the connections between nature and mathematics, especially the Fibonacci Sequence and the Golden Spiral.
